What we do

At Box & Burrow, we gather the very best of what’s grown close to home.
Some of it we grow ourselves — on a small, ever-expanding patch of Bedfordshire soil — and the rest we source from trusted local farms and suppliers who share our values. That means the freshest possible produce, delivered straight to your door or ready for you to collect from the shop.

You’ll find eggs from nearby hens, just-baked loaves from local bakers, seasonal fruit and vegetables, local honey milk in glass bottles, and proper farmhouse cheeses — all carefully chosen, beautifully simple, and full of flavour.

Box & Burrow began with a patch of chard and two very determined toddlers.

Hendrix (4) and Jesse (2) became completely captivated by the idea of growing their own food. So we dug in: chard, tomatoes, potatoes, sweetcorn… and we couldn’t believe the difference in taste. We started seeking out farm shops wherever we could, but found them hit-and-miss — limited ranges, unpredictable stock, short hours. That’s when the idea for Box & Burrow took root.

We are dedicating to create the kind of shop we always wanted to visit ourselves: local, reliable, full of flavour, and open to more people — whether you visit us in person (opening late 2025) or order from home
